i've already put American Gangster in my top 10 fav films of all time even though i haven't seen it..

the big draw for this movie is that supposedly he (frank) was above the mob.
lol at that, some hoodrat thinking he was bigger than an international herion import/export ring
granted he made $$, but all his suppliers where italian and had him by the balls.

yep...he was just their little mooley pushing shit out on the street in spanish harlem to them, that's really all it was.

on a side note
they should make a movie about the real ricky ross

i read a book about this story, it was called the pizza connection.
italian pizza places in harlem/brooklyn where set up as a front for sicilian heroin importing.
and they pimped their product to peeps who had connections in the 'hood.
nickey barnes and frank lucas where the black connections.
both snitches, both idolized by rappers
