America Fixed in Five Paragraphs...

This is an e-mail that one of my colleagues sent me. It in no way reflects my personal views or beliefs, but maybe his. :FRlol:

**********************************************************

America is currently facing two huge crises. Immigration is the one making all the headlines, but with gas prices passing three dollars a gallon, it shouldn’t be forgotten that we are also in the middle of an oil crisis. And while politicians waste all their time bickering and finger-pointing, both of these situations continue to worsen. That’s why I’m extremely pleased to announce that I have solved both of these problems simultaneously. The solution is very simple.

Cars fueled by Mexicans. I have designed a prototype and I am just amazed at the performance of this machine. Why this technology didn’t already exist, I’ll never know. Even more baffling is the fact that when I contacted America’s leading automakers, none showed interest. Most of them replied with a simple “Is this some kind of sick joke?” and hung up. I’m assuming I got this response because they didn’t take me seriously. But once I send them all a video of me putting parts of Mexicans into a blender, pouring them into a tank and demonstrating the car’s power, I’m sure the offers will come pouring in.

All of this is not to suggest that I don’t support alternative fuel sources. Hybrid cars and ethanol have both made immeasurable contributions to the cause, but they both have their setbacks. Hybrid cars, while environmentally friendly, offer very little power. And ethanol, for all of its positives, will ultimately leave farmland overworked and useless. And neither of these options does anything to help slow the immigration problem.

Cars fueled by Mexicans (CFM’s), on the other hand, provide many positives, and virtually no negatives. First and foremost is the fact that it will do wonders to curtail the illegal immigration problem facing this nation, but there’s so much more. They provide all the power of conventional autos with virtually no harmful effects on the environment. In fact, my design includes something not too dissimilar from a dryer’s lint-trap, which collects the bits of Mexican which don’t go toward fueling the car and make an excellent lawn fertilizer. And I haven’t even mentioned the fuel efficiency yet. My current design gets nearly 1,000 miles to the Mexican, depending on his or her weight. And considering how plentiful and renewable they are, I couldn’t possibly imagine a better option when you take our present situation into consideration.

So there you have it. The solution to not one, but two problems facing America. If I can find a sponsor or an automaker bold enough to think outside the box and back me financially, we should be able to roll these off the production line within six months. And if Congress approves my bill proposing that we ship unemployed African-Americans to other countries to help pay down the national debt, there’s two more problems solved. Keep your fingers crossed for a better America, and a better tomorrow.

I just put $11.50 in my car this morning. I should be able to make around the corner without running out of gas

I'm just wondering if I should stockpile generator gas now, or will there be a large dip in price before hurricane season.

I like this idea.

BUT - oil was created by the earth compressing the remains of dead dinosaurs, right? So if they can put carbon in a compression chamber and make a diamond, couldn't we do the same with animals? What animals have the most oil in them? Whales, seals, and big fish. So we just need to start mining the sea for these huge creatures and squeeze them with enough pressure and heat to render them into petroleum.

LOL, can't believe you went there even as a joke :)

The amount of pressure is the difficulty.

How about we put baby seals in a machine that hits them with 97 clubs 20 times a minute? Is that enough pressure to create oil?

Honestly, what is preventing our migration to ethanol-based fuels like Brazil? Not ethanol/gasoline blends, we could be energy self-sufficient in 5 years. From there, we investigate alternative sources of fuel but we do it from a position of economic strength.

So it would take more energy to create the oil, than the energy that could be derived from the oil? What's new? The same can be said for ethanol from corn.

I doubt if we could produce enough ethanol for our energy needs, even if every arable acre in the USA were planted with corn. Ethanol as a solution for our problems is a joke.

Not as a solution but as a stopgap. All vehicles that run on unleaded fuels can run on blends using 15% ethanol. If refining is really the skinny pipe in the supply chain then ethanol use can relieve some of the stress there. If we could reduce demand on our refining capacity by even 5% it would be a marked improvement.

Taint the Pressure, but it requres more energy to produce what you would get out of it. I think the brits did do something like this with garbage, but that was their conclussion. i.e. It would take some 10 kWatt of power to produce the equivalent of 5 kWatt of fuel.

AND, wait until the PC police get hold of this Mexican Fuel post. Oy Vey !

Lack of ability to process simple sugars into ethanol. Brazil has massive amounts of sugarcane....the US has a massive import fee on sugarcane. So, we are stuck using second-rate sources like corn and potatoes.

Trust me...I've looked into opening an ethanol plant here in Maine due to all the pulp waste we have. I can also open a port with zero import or export fees since I have access to 25,000 waterfront acres on tribal land.

I could kick some serious ass on this issue with the right financial partner.

What about tubers like beets? That could get some of the large northern farming states into the game, like Maine, Vermont, NY, PA, Montana, Wisconsin and Idaho

I would be willing to beat the animals myself for fuel...that would be pretty cool..instead of gas stations there would be beating stations..you pull up , smash a baby seal to a pulp and pour her oily remains in your gas tank...Git Err Done!

I personally prefer the "Supreme" beatdown

The energy problem really is about pressure or any technical concerns, its about infrastructure and the cost to build it and maintain a single fuel that most can use.
Imagine driving to three stations to find that they dont sell the particular fuel to the engine you are running. The fourth has a set of large batteries you swap out.

If compression is what it takes then that can be made from new nuclear technology in safe remote areas to process an fuel that is universal, which is the key, universal use, we dont care about universal donor, whether its corn, sugarcane, oil, energy etc....
The world will move towards electricity and ween its self off of gasoline although these emails make it seem like its going to run out tomorrow which is the same shit Ive heard since I was a kid

Liquid fuel seems to be the way everything is set up nowadays so some way to solve that problem will make someone rich. The technology is available to do most of this stuff but no one wants to sink cash into being first to market while others learn from their mistakes and investment.
The government has to lead this spearhead to cut the middle east off

It's a shame when we can look at those prices and be nostalgic.
