Am I weird?

I was at fieldhockey tournement today. I dont play, but some friends of mine do and I was bored and went over there.

Basically the playing hockey on these tournements is just a side effect. Everybody is smoking pot, drinking and kissing and hanging around for a weekend and its build around this sport.

Usually these tournements are the talk of the week in school... what happened there etc etc and everybody looks forward to them etc.... same with all the shit that has to with getting wasted.... theyd talk for hours about who was how wasted and how much they had blablabla

But I just dont care about this stuff. I dont like to get drunk. I dont like to kiss people just for kissing them after you only met em. I dont want to smoke pot. I find all these things, and the attitude and interest around them stupid. I dont know the right word, but to me it all seems sort of pathetic and childish....

Still this is what all the people my age (16) and all my friends love doing so much... so i wonder

Am I too shy for this?
Am I too childish for this?
Am I too mature for this?
Am I just arrogant?
Am I just boring?
Do I just need new friends?

I really dont know...

What do you think? and did anyone feel the same at this age?

At 16 I wasn't doing those things either. A year later, I was drinking, smoking and kissing boys!! HA HA!!

But hey, perhaps you are a bit too mature for this. But my guess is, you went to this "tournament." If you were too mature you would have told your friends that you had something else to do instead of sit there and feel out of sorts. You'll learn to love what they are doing, I can almosy assure you!!

There's nothing wrong with a little alcohol or even a little herb in moderation. The problem with people your age (16) doing it, is most of them aren't mature enough to handle the consequences of doing such things. That's why you can't legally purchase alcohol in the U.S. until you are 21.

Here's the hard part: there are 3 kinds of people in this world 1) people who have never touched the stuff and therefore don't worry about it 2) the people who tried it, liked it a lot and it now fucks up their life 3) people who tried it maybe liked it, maybe didn't like it, but they can keep it from interefering with real life priorities.

Most 1's are ignorant and naive. 3 is the best place to be but lots people can't make it there and get stuck at 2.

Do what you want. Don't change for the sake of homogenity.

Well i went back to the tournement last night to party and had a really really good time. Danced my ass off for hours.
I had about 6 drinks, also a bit cuz of the calories on a long night...

Anyway that was pretty cool. The music was horrible.... I`m like the hard core of dance/trance music fans, I like Hardstyle and Hardhouse but they played all these shits liks gigi etc
