Am I missing Something?

This may seem like a stupid question, but all any of the guys in my gym, trainers too have told me about is carbs and protein, "you gotta get the carbs and protein in man" No one mentioned calories, how do i work out my calorie intake. I'm floating in and around 200lbs.
 
check out the training and diet forums bro, you'll find some threads and stickys. I go by feel, but there's lots who go by precise measurement of calories over maintenece etc to bulk, under maint to cut etc.

for me, I add more whole wheat pasta, peanut butter, walnuts and steaks when bulking, cut them out when cutting. then adjust based on the mirror and how I feel.
