Alternatives to Bread?

Gigantasor

New member
Ok so I've got the fat gene that loves the hell out of bread. I was damn good for a long time not eating the stuff but I have a couple of kids and we all know how kids go through bread so the crap is always around.

I see remarks about Flax bread and similar things but I don't know a damn thing about them. What are some of the alternatives to bread sources? I don't really care if I eat the stuff but if I do I would rather eat something that I can get rid of without killing myself over it and something that doesn't make me feel like I have commited a cardinal sin.

Ideas?

100% whole grain stone ground wheat bread is ideal.....<1g of sugar.......else you can get flax bread, spelt, ezekiel, etc......go to an organinc food store......you'll be fine.

Bro, Low-carb fajita shells from la Tortilla factory arew FUCKIn awesome. the small ones have around 5 cabrs, and the big ones like 8 i think, They are delicious and have mad fiber in them. Low fat as well and around 5 grams protein I think. Lots of flavors. Check em out.

Anybody trie that protien bread they are trying to push now? Sounds like a bunch of BS to me. The trade doesn't seem to add up. I'll look into the Shells and thanks for the other info. It'll help.

How much is flax bread per loaf, JKurz? Nutritional info? Servings in one loaf?

I'd be interested in using this, since taking flax seeds ground up is becoming a chore. Well, it always was. Now it's a form of punishment.

^its about 2.25$ per loaf where I live.

also, imo, whole wheat breads and whatnot are fine when adding mass -- i try to cut them out when cutting -- however i don't always win the battle.
