Allergy shots anyone?

Anyone have experience with getting allergy shots? My allergies are simply killing me and meds are just not helping. I've tried about every brand out there.
Just wanted to see if the shots really did seem to help people.

i did allergy shots for over a year and they did nothing for me.

the problem with it is that our allergies change constanstly. when you take an allergy test it could show up you are allergic to A, B, and C. and then the allergy doc will inject you with those allergens. what he fails to realize is that just cause that particular day you were allergic to those 3 things, doesn't mean in a week or a month you won't be allergic to D, E, and F.

for example I am allergic to mold, when i take a shower in a moldy bathroom i start having issues. but my allergy doc refused to listen to me when i told him i was allergic and just goes by that test. its the same story with all western medicine, they just go by tests and studies.. instead of focusing on the individual problem

i know a girl who is severely allergic to wasps, when she got stung she goes into anaphylicatic shock.. yet her allergy doc insisted she was not allergic cause it wouldn't show up on her test!! stubborn SOB doc.

i myself went into shock one time from penicillin, yet i ate the same thing so many times with no problems... just that one particular day my body decided to attack when it entered my body.

Is it from trees, grass, animals, etc?
I saw an allergist because of my peanut allergy, and they tested me for a wide variety of things, and they gave me a handout that gave a lot of suggestions for reducing various allergies such as taking away carpets and curtains in the house, getting rid of pets, washing sheets and bedding frequently in hot water, putting pillows and bedding in special allergen reducing cases, not opening windows on days with high pollen counts, using an air conditioner set on recirculate.
I am apparently allergic to cats, mould, dandelions, dust, and of course peanuts which I already knew.

allergy shots changed my life completely. I used to get sick 2 times a month. every month. I get 4 shots twice a week. Now just once. It has been over 5 years. The best thing I ever did in my life. I was literally allergic to everything and always sick. It took a while, but 10 colds a year went down to 7, then 5, then 2, now its almost been a year I haven't gotten sick not even from my son. It is the only way to build your immune system. trust me I tried vitamins, AHCC, EVERYTHING. NOTHING WORKS. only building your immune system from allergy shots, if indeed, you have allergies. Take the test, and if you are allergic, do it!
