All the gear, none of the mojo......

I can't seem to find any motivation. I had a great cycle going of primo and Tbol a few months back, but got really sick and had to stop. I haven't hit the gym since April. I have all kinds of gear and all my supplements, but I can't get my ass back in the gym. I have never felt like this. I have been working out for 15 years and have had some down times in the past, but I never dreaded the thought of going to a gym. Anyone else ever feel this way?

My doctor told me not to exercise at all last october. I just got the o.k. the end of may to start back and it took all my energy just to get back on a damn treadmill let alone driving to the gym. I guess you just gotta suck it up and do it. It suck's though. Just think of how much better you'll feel after you do it. Good luck.

Try getting in 1 or 2 good workouts, get that pump, the adrenaline flowing, you may find the fire again sooner than you think. You've had such a long time off you've just forgotten how great you feel after a good workout.

yeah, i had a shoulder injury myself from benching too heavy about a year and 3months ago. took 3 1/2 months off, almost accepted myself as being a non gym goer, u know just quit going to pushups every other night and some situps. get a few workouts in like he said and you're hooked.

yep--it happens to almost everyone. you'll be back!

I've had days like that.I usually go into the gym and tell myself i'm going to a very light workout. After a short time the intensity seems to increase and I end getting a good workout in.

It's that first step back into the gym that is rough. After that you remember how much you missed it and you're back on the wagon again. Don't think about it, just do it. And besides, all the beautiful ladies at the gym should offer a little motivation as well.

i was like that for 3 years bro. i severely broke my ankle playing semi-pro football and it ended my naval career and pretty much my football career as well. my life changed forever. i couldnt run and still cant, even hurts to do the bicycle. 2 months ago i had to get back in the gym. i went through the same deal, couldnt go. i always had an excuse. i even signed up at the gym and didnt go for the first month. so one day i decided fuck it and just went. and once i did i went again, and again then it seemed to get easier to go. oh, and looking at the hot woman that go to my gym was motivation in itself. like Nike said, JUST DO IT!!!!!!! you have to just get it done.

I've got one compulsive, addictive personality and some times just don't have the motivation at all - every 6 mos or so. Takes everything I have just to leave the house and drive to the gym. I force myself to do it. After a few minutes on the treadmill or lifting I want to call it a day, after 15 minutes I'm thankfull I made it in and feeling pumped & ready to go. On days like this I feel so much better having gone. Getting there is definately the hardest part of all.

Good luck bro your not alone!

Same thing happened to me excpet i had a car accident which ended in a broken ankle and at the time i had just started getting the results i wanted then bam a taxi cab banged me up pretty good. Well it took 3 months just to walk a little again then it took another 3-6 months just to want to lift again. The hardest part was watching myself gain a shitload of unwanted weight and not having the strength i had before which was expected but it just sucked. Once i was able to workout a full week and have that constant in pain - gonna throw up just worked out feeling i was hooked again. For me it's easy get a Tan-haircut-double espresso and i'm off to the gym LOL... Good Luck bro!!!!!

happened to me and took 2 yrs off, f'ed up my wrist from rollerblading accident....every time i tried to work out, intense pain...first day back was a pain, couldn't even rep 135lbs on flat, when beforei could rep 225 12x....so about 3 months later, finally got back to where i was happy with the weights i was putting up...but first month was hell....

sometimes i just take 2wks off to let my body rest...do that every 6 months.

Don't start with out your motivation..if you do it's a complete waste.
