Aldactone

Just reading up on a few compounds...

Aldactone caught my eye mainly because it is used to reduce water retention caused by estrogen, but also serves as a diuretic. Obviously this throws out any long term usage, but if it was used at a VERY low dosage, could it be taken along with a compound like nolvadex?

The only reason I ask this is because it is very cheap to buy as well as nolva is (well cheaper than Arimidex). This combo IMO would also be more effective at keeping water weight down while doing a bulker and still preventing any estrogen related sides.

It's a diuretic, so it's going to help you shed water retention caused by anything - estrogen, high-sodium diet, etc... It's not a replacement for arimidex nor is it a product I recommend you use unless you have to. Stick to a low-sodium diet, anti-Es, and natural diuretics like vitamin C, dandelion root and caffeine - don't forget glycerin :coffee:

Thanks for the input X.

What if used along with Nolva? One to more efficiently stop the water retention, one to combat the estrogen?

The Aldactone would be taken at a very low dosage(~5-10mg daily).

Another thing peeps should know about aldactone is that it's potassium sparing, so if you feel like having a heart attack take an assload of potassium supps along with it. -says the ghost of Dr Kevorkian MD

Did you read what I suggested dugie65? it's not an ED compound you should take lightly, no diuretics are. Bodybuilders have died from ODing on diuretics before a show. Just follow my AI advice along with natural diuretic compounds and you will do fine.

You can also OD on tylenol. Moderation is what I was going for.

This thread is just a thought I was having, I am in no way considering this idea for myself.

Although this is true, you have to consider the possible dangers of ED/frequent diuretic usage. On paper and in theory these things might look ok, but real life tends to be different. Natural diuretic compounds and proper anti-E regiments are the way to go in this situation.

A quick question.

Whats the difference between natural diuretics and drugs anyway?

Natural items like coffee contain a good amount of caffine, which if consumed several times daily would act as a diuretic.

At what point do we draw the line between a safe amount of diuretics taken in and dangerous comsumption? (I.E. How much coffee.. etc would you have to consume for it to become unsafe)

Safety depends on your response to caffeine. I suggest 1 cup of coffee per day if you're going to use that as a tool to shed some water. :coffee:
