Alcohol

I am happy to say that I feel great and I will be beggining my fourth week of my test cycle tommorow. My question is about alcohol. I like to drink it and I have problems with it. I can not just have one or two beers. I drink one beer and the next thing I know the lights are on at the bar and the bouncers are crowding around me asking me to leave. I usually drink 2 nights out of the week. I know that drinking is holding back my cycle bigtime. My motivation and intensity is down the next day after drinking the night before. My question is what does alcohol do to my test levels on the cycle and how much does it effect it. I know everyone is different but whatever you guys can inform me will be very helpful. Its long known that acute alcohol intake increases cortisol levels for about 24 hrs ( catabolic ), and lowers testosterone levels. It also decreases protein synthesis.

so you have a negative trifecta if you're not on anabolics. What isnt so clear is what if you ARE on anabolics?

1) increase in cortisol will still occur. Big negative
2) the test decrease is an endogenous event and would NOT affect injected steroids
3) decreased protein synthesis? dont know.

great way to fuck up your cycle and not make the best fo it..ive wasted about 4 or 5 of them like that...fantastic way to spend your money..if your going to atleast limit it to 1 night a week and have yoru off day following so your not missing a workout
 
If your going to drink you might as well not cycle. Its only 4 weeks, you're telling me you can't stop drinking for four weeks? You may have a more serious issue than you think if this is your problem. You won't get the full effect of steroids if you drink so why take them at all?
 
Don't drink. You obviously can't hold liquor worth a crap. Stay away from it before you become a full blown alky. Not just for cycle, but for your life.
 
Thank-you Mava. Needto already hooked me up. Yeah it is stupid for me to waste my time on the cycle due to a stupid thing like drinking. It is just I am getting bigger. My friends and people at work are definetely noticing the difference. It has only been three full weeks also. But I like to go out drinking and have a good time. Due to the fact that i'm getting bigger it makes me want to go out even more. If I gave in I would go out every night while taking this stuff. Feel like a caged animal. In fact last weekend I went out and bought a shirt a size smaller then usual just to go out. Lol. Yeah I have problems with control with drinking. It has been doing bad things to my life though. I do not know why some people on this site act so dumb about going out and having a good time. To meach his own. But thank-you everyone for the advice. I am definetely taking a full week off for the fourth week. I am planning on watching Rocky 1 through 6 while doing crunches and hitting the bag. Then i'm going to put back a case and go out looking for Appollo. Thanks to all. I love this site. Glad you guys let me be on here. :evil:

I enjoy 5-6 cocktails ONCE a week usually on friday happy hour (socially), then I order
a nice steak with steamed broccolli and call it a night, I dont have to hit the gym the next day. But I also take Milk Thisle and Liv-52, to keep a the liver as healthy as possible, to eliminate all the toxins and byproducts. Dont drink to oblivion like you seem to do, and I also suggest to stay hydrated drink water but limit yourself.
If you lose control have a buddy that has a better control, monitor you and listen
to him or her, when they say enough for now, ask the bartender for a Sprite or Seltzer water and pace your self. Enjoy your self, dont over indulge. Not only is bad for you but also think of the legal ramifications of it. Bouncers getting involved escalating cops, ect.
 
You have reached the end of your recreatinal drinking career. It's all downhill from here....And it's a long downward spiral. On the way down it will take evrything you have with it.
I strongly suggest you get plugged into AA ASAP. It is the only way to get sober and stay sober. If you are not ready to quit then stay out until you are... It won't take long. PM me if you have questions. I sponsor several people in AA and have 8 years of continuous sobriety. So I know right where you are, because I have been there. Nuf said.
 
Its funny...do a search for drinking while juicing and you will find different threads with totally different attitudes toward this subject. You can find a whole thread on how people think drinking while on isn't a big deal. Then you find threads like this where people think drinking while on is like committing suicide. Seems like you have already made up your mind though and are going to drink no matter what anyone says and what advice is given so why start another thread about drinking and juicing?
 
if you dont have momentum, and you just have a few beers every couple of weekends, no big deal. but on a regular basis you're hampering your progress, and further stressing your liver.

Yeah I meant to say it has not caused any problems in my life. Other wakeing up next to a fat chick once or twice. Anyways thanks fellas. I get the picture. I already knew it was not a good thing to do. It just makes it extra hard not to go out when i'm juicing. I appreciate everyones input. I do not think I need AA or anything. I usually stop drinking for the most part when I get a girlfriend. Untill then i'm going to limit it as much as humanly possible till i'm off my cycle and think its all out of my system.

While you're on here, you're one of the bros and we are trying to look out for you. use your head. the occassional drink isn't gonna do anything to you, but getting hammered all the time, regrdless of it's effects to your aas cycle, is not good for you or your body. I'd go completely sober if I were you. If you can't do that, then you have a problem with being alcoholic. which puts you and your family in a bad position.
