Alcohol

C'mon...

Easy answer: yes.

What's the cycle comprised of? How much alcohol and how frequesnt is the drinking?
 
NO.....NOPE.....why would you think that. i drink extensively during all cycles and no problem, the only problem is a lil blood in the urine, no biggie..

I'm running 750wk of sust, 35mged dbol then 100mg eod of winny depot. I have a social beer every few days, but not to intoxication. I worry over my liver too much. I went alcohol free for 6 weeks on a cycle, but went out one night and got tanked while on 800mgwk EQ and broke out in some godawful rash. Hence, the last time I got smashed while on gear. But I don't think responsible, mild, non-frequent consumption is a prob unless you're on some really heavy shit of high doses. Besides, how much pussy are you gonna pick up at the club with a Nestea in your hand, I mean really?

Honestly I find that I can get plenty of pussy by drinking water. It shows women that you are strong willed, don't rely on alcohol to have fun, and that you care about your body. I can hang out with my friends at the bar and not drink but still have a good time. It shows that you don't succumb to peer pressure, that you are your own man making you own decisions. Much more attractive to the opposite sex than the ignorant drunk.

I used to drink a good bit when i was clean of gear. Now i may have 6 or 7 beers a month(at the most).....Especially if i am on orals. And when i do drink i double up on ala and tylers!!

Aside from liver issues...

Alcohol inhibits protein synthesis. The reason we spend big bucks and take the risks associated with using steroids is so that we can accelerate protein synthesis.

Alcohol use limits the effectiveness of a cycle.

On-cycle = no alcohol.

Very good point SM. Thats very true! I love the taste of beer, but these are the reasons that i limit myself to no more than 1 a week usually! Sometimes i even go a month without.

And please don't think I'm calling out the guy with the Dasani standing beside the Bud Light tap, I just don't feel very social in an alcohol induced environment without..well, alcohol. Drunk people suck, unless you're one of'em. And if I've gotta tolerate them, then a beer at the very least is what I need. But like I said, you've got an excellent point, I just don't think that those that do partake have any less willpower, we just wanna join in the fun.

Just remember you don't have to drink to have a good time. A better idea is to get fucking huge, go to the bar and fuck all the drunken women. I also like hanging with my friends when they get all stupid drunk. This way I can make sure nothing happens to them and tell them about all the stupid ass shit they did. It really entertains me. I call it a dorkover. I can't tell you how many times people have complemented me on how well I handle myself and keep my composure. Most of the time they don't even notice that I am not drinking. Anyway good luck bro whatever you decide to do.

redbull offsets the lethargy of being high but most of your inhibitions are gone :spin:
 
I'm 21 and live in a crazy party town and know tons of guys who pop there dbols with MGD's. The crazy thing is these guys drink damn close to every night of the week and still blow the fuck up and have 20 inch arms.

I personally limit alcohol consumtion while on cycle but its hard to believe alcohol is gonna kill your cycle when I see these guys putting up 405 for reps.

yea, 2nd the notion on it being a stupid question... alcohol is never 'good' for you for one thing... and if ur taking juice that is toxic to ur liver, why would u want to add the stress of alcohol to the mix..
 
Of course it's bad for you unless you're talking about 1-2 glasses of red wine that is. Actually they did a study where even beer was "healthy" for you at lighter amounts. Still not good for protein synthesis as Silent Method says. It also lowers test levels and has a direct negative effect on type-II muscle fibers which are the fibers most conducive for growth. Having said that people still do drink here and there. It depends on your priorities and also how much you are drinking. I for one like to drink once in a while. I know it's not the best thing but there's so many "not the best things" and nobody is perfect.

How do u have 500 posts and ask questions like is alcohol bad on cycle. It ba danytime but why spend the money on gear if you gonna piss away its benefits by drinking. You adding empty calories as well as decreasing protein synthesis and test levels. Also ala and tylers help cleanse your liver and are essential when taking orals

Quite possibly, dare I say in all probability, the amount of inhibition you will contend with will be nothing that you will be able to SEE at the end of the cycle.

However, if your serious about gaining every last scrap of muscle you are serious about optimal levels of adaptation. Most of us don't have spare cycle money just laying around. None of us likes the possible legal implications of our gear use. Most of us hate dealing with some of the sides we must deal with while on gear.

Why then would we settle for ANYTHING less than optimal adaptation?
 
its not a bad question, everyone always says its not good but then gives bullshit reasons or no reason at all. here's what ive heard:

1. dehydration: fair enough, drink lots of water with it

2. liver: if you're doing orals or tren, minimize the drinking as much as possible. otherwise, moderate drinking should be fine.

3. lowering test: you're not producing shit on a cycle anyways, so this doesn't really apply

4. decreased protein synthesis: show me a study.

I dunno, after my dumbass advocated light drinking yesterday, I rolled out last night and tailgated for pre-game. Got smashed, got laid, and got up feeling guilty. Like I'd just cheated myself out of some quality growth or something.You know that feeling? Its like your body is cursing you.
I think guys like Corn and Method have a really valid point. Or at least you all struck a chord somewhere with me. So from today on, until my cycle ends, I WILL be that guy chilling with the Dasani in the left hand, of course that still leaves room for the cell in the other hand punchin in drunk chicks #'s!
