Alcohol w/ Low Calories

If you are trying to watch your cals, is it better to drink high-octane liquor like Jack Daniels or Bacardi Rum with like a diet soda or something, or are Beers and Coolers about the same as far as that goes? I just assumed that Beers would be more calories, since it takes more of them to get you buzzed than do the hard-liquors where the intake is smaller. Yes?

I think it all ends up being the same when you look at it. 1 glass of beer and like 1 oz (Not exactly sure on oz amount) of vodka equal the same amount of alcohol. I haven't drank in awhile but when I would on occasion I would just drink straight vodka because I know for a fact the carbs are lower. Do a search on the net and you could find out easily the nutrient ratios for different liquor.

That is why I posted my response, usually the clearer the liquor the less syrup and sugar, and the higher proof stuff has less volume for other additivies, like everclear. Mix it with a diet soda or tonic water. Beer on the other hand has alot of barley, hops, and other high calorie products in it. So it comes out to like about 80 calories for a mixed drink, and usually anywere from 100-300 with a beer. The one hundred calorie beers shouldnt be called beers though, the domestic shit americans pass of as beer is a joke.
