Two weeks ago, I told everyone that he would be next. The G(L)OP supporters here just took it as liberal naysaying...

I like how this was released by the White House :
"White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten has told senior aides that if they intended to stay after Labor Day, plan to remain for the rest of Bush's term through January 2009."
Basically a strong arm tactic to keep the rest of the rats from jumping off that sinking ship.

As this two-term administration comes to an end, many cabinet members will announce resignations on their own terms. Time to write/sell books, hit the lecture circuit, beat the rush out of DC after the election, etc.

Well the mofo didn't do anything to help me or my family so I could give a fat rat's ass.... as did the Governor of the state and ALL of the state and local legislatures that we reached out to.

Don't make it sound as though it was part of the general timeline follow through. You know well enough he would not have left until the last minute and even then, only if he was replaced.
Let's not forget the Repubs themselves were trying to fry his ass too. He didn't quit on his own, just like Rummy didn't resign on his own. His ass was smoked. He didn't have the support of his own party. Oh wait, Bush doesn't either. Imagine that.
Got nothing? His true nature came out. His dishonesty was proven. His feverent grasp of fantasyland and spinning lie after lie was brought to the public eye, his backalley tactics and general shady disposition was a reflection of the very people that put him in the position. Another testimony of incompetence.
