I kep reading about people saying how they take ala before a meal and then remain in a state of ketosis, or remain hypoglycemic. Can someone explain to me what this means. thanks.
 
I'm no nutritionist.. but from an oversimplified explaination..

ketones are an energy source that your body resorts to when it can't get the carbs it needs for its "crib cycles". When you're running on this energy source, you're burning fat. By drinking a lot of water you can piss them out too, thus losing even more.

Hypoglycemia is a semi-good thing because it indicates your starvation for blood sugar (and hence carbohydrates).
