ALA Powder

OK, this is the most rancid, disgusting stuff I have ever hd the misfortune of using. It taste like battery acid! I cannot mix this with water anymore, I will die.

What does every other cheap ass that didn't buy caps do to get this stuff down. I have tried mixing it with proein shakes and that is nasty as well. I was thinking of mixing with a gulp of OJ and trying that...

To anyone who hadn't bought any ALA yet, do yourself a favor and spend a little extra for caps.

Haha. I agree. Here's what I do when I am too lazy to make caps: drink a small gulp of water and hold it in your mouth then take the spoon of ALA and dump it on top of the water in your mouth. Swallow it and chase it with more water.

Just scoop it directly into your mouth; take a swig of water, mix it up in your mouth like mouthwash; swallow; drink more water. The taste doesn't bother me at all.

You guys are hardcore! I have the answer to your problem...

Mix the powdered ALA with Apple Sauce!! Even toss in a little bit of cinnamon to make it taste even better.

Oh, cmon! The burn lets you know it's working it only sucks if you get it stuck on the back of your throat...even then, it's not that bad... Never try primo if you think this stuff burns... lol...

I mix all my powders in it: Glutamine, Milk thistle, ALA, etc.

Apple sauce... I will have to check the nutritional value of some, but that might work. I think my problem is that I have been mixing it with lot of water to try and kill the taste. I guess less is better with this.

Some guy on this board can get you a kilo for $250 I guess but most people dont want to try to store that much or spend that much money at one time. But once he starts selling caps cheap, than it will be a good deal.


The ALA didnt bother me that much. Except I got some down in the back of my throat or down the wrong pipe or something and coughed like a 2-year-old smoker. I just drink water with it.
