ALA and diabetes

Hi there, I have few questions about ALA.
Well, I've been taking ALA about 2grams a day. I'm cutting right now and am seeing good progress.
Anyhow, my granddmother was a diabetic and my mother has a potential to become diabetic as well. So that means I have a chance of becoming diabetic as well right?
If so, will taking ALA increase the chance of me becoming diabetic?
Sorry about asking stupid questions, but I really wanted to know this
Thanks bros.

Ala, does not have any effect on you natural insulin production. If you are diabetic, ala will help with the high sugar. You have to take at least 800mgs a day to see any effect.

ALA has been prescibed at 600 mg doses for 30 years in germany for diabetic neuropathy. At the right dose it should lower the insulin requirement, which is a good thing.
