ALA and acne

I've read several posts from people saying that ALA either cleared their acne or prevented them from getting it either on cycle or post cycle. Are there any scientific facts to support this type of effect? All I've seen are based on experience.

I am one of those people who posted it and have not had a problem since I started using it. Do I need a study to tell me that it worked, no. Do I know the mechanism through which it worked, no. But does it matter if no one knows how it works as long as it works, no. That is why I wanted people to try it who have had acne problems in the past or have them now. And if you have problems, try it, it will be the cheapest solution and probably the safest with the least amount of dosages and you need it anyway in your cycle so why not. Remember personal experience is very important in learning, if you take it and it does not work then you have learned that it does not work for you and you will need to try something else but above all you learned something about your body and you did not need a scientific article to tell you. But I am sure there will still be people who post things like "How do I get rid of acne"? that is why I wanted it to be a big deal because it is rare that something works so well and is cheap. anyway I am sure it won't be paid much attention as a lot of important things on the board are not.
