I'm coming home last night and speeding a fair bit already. So why do people have to be assholes and tailgate? I usually brake and they back off, but not this asshole. I turn off into my parking lot and jam on my brakes as I do so (hey, it's the assholes fault if he hits me) and moron drives off to the boulevard to go around me. He then looks at me like I did something wrong. People are idiots.

90% of drivers should not be on the roads.

That's what high beams are for. You flash your high beams. Then if they don't get over they deserve to be tailgated, crowded over, whatever.

I read somewhere that some states are thinking of enacting laws where you have to move over if you are in the left lane and someone comes up behind you going faster. Apparently a high proportion fo accidents come from the faster guy ducking into the right lanes to pass the slowpoke.

The naysayers say this will encourgae speeding.

I hate fucking assholes who drive in the fast lane(passing lane) knowing there are people behind them. There is always some asshole driving 70 in the fast lane and just out of spite wont move over knowing the average speed is about 80.

If peoiple werent so god damn spiteful and vindictive on the road there would be a lot less road rage..

These days, doing anything other than just moving over and letting them pass you is way too dangerous due to road rage.

I don't drive slow but when someone is flying over the limit, I lower my pride and just move over, hoping I pass them smashed into a tree a few miles up the road..

I used to have a 4x4 with 8 KC HighLight Offroad lights.
I'd love at night to come up behind someone going slow and hit them right into the back window with like 800,000 candlepower.

good move, in NY (not sure about anywhere else), a hit in the rear (even if the plaintiff slammed on his breaks) is presumed to be the responsibility of the "following car."

that is why i stay just close enough to make sure the slow jerk in front moves out of the way, but far enough back to have enough time to stop or maneuver out of the way.

So far only two things have happened with the thousands of times I have flashed my brights:

a) the people move over, in which case I usually try to give a wave as I pass by

or

b)the asshole does not move over, in which case I tailgate, or whatever

If you being tailgated, and you're doing anything less than 75-80 in the fast lane, guess what...you deserve it. Some people think that 65-70 is an acceptable speed for the far left lane, which it is if there's no one behind you. But if you're going to sit there in the passing lane and putter along at anything less than 75, I will commence the tailgating pressure. If you have the nerve to jam on your brakes knowing there's someone wanting to pass you, and you're holding up the passing lane, fuck you.

I was doing 75 km in a 60 km zone in a residential area. It's a one lane road in the middle of the neighbourhood. There are no fast and slow lanes in the city. Highway driving is a different story.

I just got a 90$ ticket for going 15 km over the speed limit. We have hidden photo-radar around our city now. I don't need another ticket just because some moron doesn't know how to drive.
