Age for starting creatine?

I've known peopel to start around 15-16, but how long have you worked out already?? how much expereince you got?
You dont want to jump into supps, before you learn your body

Peace

I'm going to venture off and say that whey protein, creatine, fat burners, multi-vitamins are the only supps people under 19 should use. And they shouldn't use ph till 21 and at 20 the y can use N02 and items like that.

Its for my 15 year old son. I have had him on multi vitamin and 2 protien shakes a day at 40mg of protien each. He eats like a starving elephant. He has been lifting with light weights and plays lacrosse and wrestling all year round. He plays football in the fall. Was hoping to build his endurance & strength (which is above average for his size) He is about 145lbs and absolutely shredded. But with the year round schedule he sometimes runs out of gas at times. Thought maybe creatine would be a safe boost for him.

Thanks
Peace

At what age would it be safe to start using bcreatine for a very active High School athelete?

Don't think the drug will affect him negatively or be unsafe if taken a teaspoon a day. There are alot of quetion as to wheather it will be helpful to him. Some peoples liver's destroy creatine monohydrate completely. Then they made swole v2. I haven't tried the creatine ether ester hci drugs being sold now either. But creatine monohydrate is cheap enough. But only 1 teaspoons a day.

lets hope you meant 40g not mg...LOL

but yea as long as he knows what he is doing when lifting weights, and he has been doing it and now wants saomething to help his gains! But ensure he drinks alot of water, thats alot of cardio type activity and it will help dehydrate him prettty bad!!

15 is fine for creatine, but remember one thing. Creatine loses it's effectiveness if taken in LONG periods of time (over 3-4 months), and when he comes off he'll lose a good bit of endurance and strength. The body quits making it's own creatine, and it'll take him a good 2-4 weeks to feel normal again...

Been there and done thatw ith Creatine since 1997. Not worth it to me. Save your money and keep stuffing food in his mouth. Thats all he needs.

Thanks for the info. I've used the creatine on & off for a few years myself.Wasn't sure about a kid his age. I have him on a good training program. I've been training 23+ years So I know most of the mistakes (not all) But I appreciate all your responses.

Peace
