After Baghdad......what next????

Since the Iraqi leadership really does not care about fatalities, surrender may not be part of the vocabulary. Eventually however, they will be very much kaput.

I keep wondering, what will we do next? Send the boys back home and shake their hands? Keep them there for peacekeeping? Decide that N. Korea needs a good ole ass kicking? Would we seriously take on someone who could detonate a nuke in our major cities......or kiss their ass as some have said we are doing?

I'd say it's North Korea next, but the way things are going, it might be Iran. Who knows.

We won't go near N. Korea, the US knows that they aren't kidding around (nukes). Besides we have nothing to gain from attacking Korea (i.e. oil).

I got 10 bucks on Iran. Im not going to state exact reasons why as i know ill get blasted for it and im to drunk to defend myself at the moment. However, if iran were in the picture you have to admit with our forces already in the vicinity it would be more convenient. Then again, It could be both at once. N korea is already on edge over Iraq, if we go into Iran-N korea may not wait for us to deliver an ass kicking and give us one first.

probably peacekeeping.

if it is iran you can kiss world stability goodbye

Yea.... a very well connected political guy told me that Iran is on the drawing board. That one may prove tough to chew.

Philipines have my bet, then NK...This should keep the Bitches in the middle east at bay for 2-4 years...Terrorist activity will be closely kept in check by the Clerics for some time till the U.S. cools down, but only if we dont take heavy losses in Iraq. If we take light losses to a "Madman" like Sadamn then I think it would be a wake up call to the Arab world that if we can take him with no problem then they could be had at even an easier price...Say what you will but the other arab know the score and that they couldn't defeat us, shy of a Full on WWIII with everyone in the world against us

Iran will not be a target for several reasons. They include powerful trade partners and an international contract signed in 1981.

N. Korea will not be a target because they are well armed.

The US will withdraw from Iraq after Saddam has been removed. Iraq will become Afghanistan #2 where war-lords control the country while the US placed "leader" will control his block in Kabul.

Depending on the numbers of body bag showed on TV networks (so that exclude CNN), it could be either North Korea or just nothing....

yeah that's my guess to. Think of all the land we have...

That's right rub it in, tease the big dog. It'll make our victory that much more sweet.

Canada's going down in a big way.

nothing probably. How could we justify war on Iran? They don't violate UN resolutions for decades on end, i don't think their domestic government is as repressive as Iraqs, and unlike Iraq they are currently in a state of political reform. Forced reform from the outside probably wouldn't help, they are reforming from the inside.

I'd guess North Korea, if any war happens next (which i doubt very much). They are becoming belligerent, threatening nuclear war anytime they don't get what they want.
