Are they tired of being called African-Americans when they have born in America just like their grandfathers, and their grandfathers. When they will turn to be just American-Americans or Americans?

I'm from Scandinavia and if someone still calls me a Viking I will fucking shove my sword in their butt. And I really mean sword.

maybe because their skin color is brown? yes but black shouldn't be bad. if black says 'hey whitey boy' to me that's totally ok but if he says 'yo black brotha' then that's no quite as good. just call me brotha cause we're all brothers and i like your sister.

It's an individual choice. Some perfer "black", some prefer "African American"

As FreeballinDC said, everyone is different in their preferences. Watching the news on tv here I still see both 'polite' terms used. White or black, Caucasian or African American.

I don't think we have any understanding of genetics whatsoever. As far as skin tone goes, if you hold carbon paper next to a black person or chalk next to a white person don't you see a difference. I wonder when the terms "white" and "black" strated to be used to define people as we perceive today? Another brilliant observation from THE FFACTOR!

I use the above only sparingly and only if it is clearly obvious externally that they are not a Mix. More and more I don't use a label unless I must..

Again, these days mixed race, especially the Hispanic Black mixes, are hard to determine, and therefore label..
So I don't..
