African Americans on REALITY TV Shows.......

havoc

Shaolin Ninja
Why don't we see more ethnic groups on REALITY TV?

Why isn't Joe Millionaire black, hispanic, lebanese?

And the females, like the average Joe garbage, the woman is white.

Would another heritage not hold as much attention?

This could be applied to any reality TV, major, major majority are caucasian, at least that's what I get from the commercials.

Your thoughts are........

If its on fox its got to be white and republican oriented. Got it!

someday soon their will be a reality show based around the life of a pimpn' drug dealer who eats solely at KFC.

America's just not ready yet.

It's about mass appeal and that means white people.

if you watch tv..you'd think 90% of America is white, and hispanics, asians and blacks only make up 5-10% of our population.

FARRR from it in reality. I love how they have sitcoms based in LA, and every episode they never encounter mexican people. Apparently they don't exist in hollywood's fantasy land. :)

Cause they'd kick whitey's ass....

Funny though. I watched survivor and a fear factor where there was a contestant on each that was black/african american/whatever the PC term is. On both there was a contest that involved some aspect of "holding your breath to complete a task". Both times I stated "money on the black guy" both times they won.

Know at the risk of offending people on the board (someone please CORRECT me if I'm wrong) is that the black population tends to to have approx. 20% more lung capacity than caucasians... Hence why I made my statements. Fluke or basis in fact I don't know.

Love to hear opinions on this.

Kind of a catch 22. We can hold our breath longer but few of us can swim.

(I swim just fine)

"one in a series of Census 2000 briefs,
shows that 36.4 million people, or 12.9 percent of the total population,
reported as Black or African American"

Only show I watch is The Apprentice. They have two blacks and had another minority as well. I don't think one of the blacks is going to make it very much further (Omarisa).

Why is there a problem with the guy/girl being a caucasion/white?

This is just getting out of hand with all this PC bullshit...always complaining about something.C'mon people,...Blah,...Blah,..Blah,..."We hate the white man",..."Hey, let's make fun of the white guy"..."Bad Whitey!" Funny thing I see though,...this bullshit is starting to become a trend amoung the masses of angry minority,...more and more now... I feel.

If you people have such gripes about this,...A suggestion,... you take a poll,...and write to NBC/CBS or whomever, for a chance to suggest to "create" another "B.E.T. type" channel(s) for your all your viewing needs. I am sure most of us Evil "White People" can give two fucks, about it, if it goes through. If it goes through, great! Problem solved, period. Maybe then, ...all this bitching would stop? I sincerely doubt it though. The real truth is that somepeople just hate, and while they may say or do one thing, the truth always comes out one way or another.

bottom line.... I am white (Italian)

I am tired of hearing this bullshit from minorities. I have close friends, that are in fact considered a "minority," and do agree with me. This has gone, out of hand nowadays.

I am not racist,..."but"... BUT,... When I do hear this anti-white "hate-type of bullshit comming from a person of minority," I prefer to distance myself from that person having nothing to do with them or their bullshit. I do not like them(that individual). Not because they are any color/creed. Because they are assholes, and IMO, most need a good smack to the head.

Thing is,...if you have a problem with any race,...I am sure if any one of them met you,...they wouldn't/don't like you either. There is "No" reason to generalize on one/any race. If you are proud of you heritage/race, and like to promote/and or celebrate it, fine. But don't think that gives any race the right to do that while defacing another race, all the while, and making this type of method popular and accepted, hiding, calling it something else. This is just wrong, and the epitomy of being racist. I personally feel is the new "trend" now, that is being directed/ leaning towards white people, from angry racist minorities. It seems to be accepted also, and PC correct also. Very sad.

My opinion on the subject. Am I racist? No. Do I hate anyone (any one individual) that hates me because I am caucasion? Yes. That feeling would ring true for any individual in that circumstance. Post away people,....I expect to be crucified anyway for my opinion, one way or another. Even though I feel I have "valid points," and have not written a hate speech, something I am sure is not up to "todays" PC correct standards, I am sure.

Hispanics are the biggest minority group in the US. In many cities, the "majority".

How many big budget movies and how many tv shows feature hispanics in the main role?

Like 1 out of 80?? I rest my case.

It comes down to "Hollywood" and the studios, when big budget movies are concerned. There are who are "marketable" for certain roles, and who are not. Hence, ...we have from that created, "movie stars." Although, I do think they are waaay overpaid sometimes, and there are many other people out there that can do the job just as well, if not better,...regardless they usually do a great job at what they do. Also, there are plenty of hispanics in big budget movies. For instance,...I just got done watching a new release called "Once upon a time in Mexico"... (Antonio Bandaras) and loved it. Granted this is just one example, but choosing an actor usually goes by who fits a certain "look" or part for a movie, and is ultimately judged by the studio or people who front out the $$cash$$ for that movie to be made. They have the right to choose who they deem to be fit for their choice for the role. I think that is fair. Don't you?
