Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below I let my sister borrow my aerobed mattress and got it back with a slow (very very slow) leak. It takes about 15 mins for it to go down while laying on it. I have the stuff to patch it, but how do you find what might be a pin hole in a full size mattress. I have tried putting my hand over every square inch on top and bottom and can't find the leak. Any one have any ideas before I have to shell out 179.00 for a new one (even though this one is only 8 months old). I think one of her rug rats might have stuck a pin or something in it.

water is your friend when it comes to leaks. Put portions of the mattress in a bathtub full of water and look for air bubbles to come out of the mattress when you squeeze on it. Or just get it wet and chances are the water on top of the hole will make a slight hissing noise when you try and force the air out of it.

the water thing is the best idea i can think of. Perhaps (big perhaps, i don't know if it would work) you can get one of those $20 backyard pools, and put the mattress in that (in case it won't fit in your tub) so you can detect the leak.
Or (possibly, i don't know) you can fill the mattress with water and find the leak that way. Preferably colored water (red, orange, etc).
you can always check ebay for a new one.
