A few q's-
are you shooting yourself-or is someone shooting for you?Where exactly are you shooting? What is the procedure-do you clean the site before hand? What size pin?How many ccs?
I've given a LOT of shots in my lifetime,so maybe I can help a bit...
1.PLEASE clean the site before you shoot.A bottle of alcohol and a cotton ball will do well.I can't tell you how many abcesses we' lanced in the ER from guys who were just careless with their injections.
2.PLEASE don't re-use the same pin-aside from the obvious sanitary considerations, the pin becomes dull once it penetrates the skin, hence more tissue damage and pain.
3.Rotate your sites. That will go a long way to prevent a buildup of scar tissue, which makes it a lot harder to inject.
4.Go deep.If you have a significant muscle bed,you should have no problem getting in there with a 1" pin(1 1/2" if you have a bit of subcutaneous fat)If you give yourself a subcut injection of the heavy suspensions,it will hurt(and be less effective)
5.Massage the site well after wards.Keep active-some cardio,or something. It will help disperse the medicine, and also bathe the site in blood, which will reduce the irritation.
Hope this helps a bit...
