about to run a 10-12 week cycle of just test (about 250mg a week, possibly increase to 500mg a week throughout cycle)...

is a doctors supervision necessary for this? I had my bloodwork done about a year ago and everything was normal except cholesterol was a little high. Test level was around 400ngl.

if I didn't get a doctor involved, could I get blood tests myself and determine if anything is outta whack? i guess items to be tested would be... liver, thyroid, testosterone, and cholesterol... right?

any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

wow, if your normal is 400ngl (depending on your age) i wouldn't see any reason at all for you to run test.. period.. if you ran eq or winny or var, that # would come down, but with HCG at like 250iu eod throughout the cycle would probably keep you in that area..

what is your goals for supplementing with test??

do you really want a ridiculously high cholesterol level during/post cycle to be in your medical record?

wouldn't be in my record if I went to the lab myself, got the test, and then reviewed them myself...

can one easily interpret these results without being a doctor? when reviewing my labcorp results, it would show your result and the normal range for each test...

what tests do i really need to consider?

During HRT @ 100mg/week, I had monthly tests for:

Total Testosterone
Free Testosterone
E2 (Estrogen/Estradiol --extra sensitive for males assay) -- useful to head off E2 related problems (gyno, bloat)
DHT (Good to keep an eye on. If it's too high, you can start losing hair)
LH (to measure HPTA suppression)
PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen...most feel that it is useless. My doc wanted it.)

Quest did/does all of my lab work and I remember that during a recent visit, you could order/pay for labwork that you wanted. However, I also remember that the results were sent to a doctor that would review them with you. I'm not sure if the latter has changed.

You can get any labs done here http://www.directlabs.com. Diet can greatly effect your cholesterol levels. I know when I bulk mine gets a lot higher due to the foods I eat. Once I drop the cals and eat the good foods mine will drop back down to 50's.

Why do most people feel that PSA is useless? Isn't it a critical test to detect prostate cancer?
