Actor "Steven Segal"

From what I have from more than a few people.... he is probably as real as he is dangerous when it comes to legit fighting off screen. (real life) My friend Vinny tells me, he saw a show where Segal's bodyguards say they would even hesitate fighting with him. These guys were supposedly Huge, crazy Mo-foe's too. They say, basicly, he is on the level, and one of the very "few" if any that what you see is what you get. Wow,... He is not tiny either. I hear he is over 6' and somewhere in the 230-40 mark in weight. Maybe more. Regardless, everyone is in agreement he is "dangerous" though....
 
well thats what you'd expect when you're umpteenth (dont know exactly which) dan in aikido and you stand at about 6'4 (or so ive read). all that crap about him being former CIA is bullshit tho IMO

Next to Jean Claude Van Cheese, he is Al Pacino and albert Einstein rolled into one.
 
Three Rivers Aikido in St. Louis is a Segal school........Sensei Reynoso is the owner, and he also say's he's legit......but were talking aikido, so you could take someone with another discipline, and he wouldn't fair too well.....


"Actor" is correct.......although that Mountain Dew commercial rocks...... :D

That's exaclty what I was thinking. I did like Under Seige though. It was different from his movies before that which were all basically the same movie.

LOL...funny you mention this...Segal has been in court recently for some mob related shakedowns; the Gambino clan was extorting his gay movies for big bucks...these old timers were overheard on bugs laughing at how much of a pussy Segal was. Basically, Segal would cower to these old men, a fair cry from his crime fighting movie roles...

What about Jet Li, or Jackie Chan? Are they in the same class as him? It seems they would be higher.
 
SS got destroyed on a set by "Judo" Gene Lebell(a stuntman and gifted grappler)years ago.Segal was boasting on a set about being the baddest man in Hollywood and how no one could touch him.Lebell basically tells him he shouldn't be talking like that,that no one is unbeatable,etc.,to which SS takes exception to and challenges him on the spot.One thing leads to another,and the ruckess ends with SS being put completely to sleep with a carotid chokehold.This was pretty widely covered in the MA magazines as well as several Hollywood/Cinematic publications back when it happened.I do believe that SS denied it all though,lol.
 
Id pay good money to see Jet Li kick the shit out of Segal..

wont ever happen though.. Segals ego is the size of Mt Everest.. he would never star in a movie with someone who could kick his ass.

You guys ever notice that segal NEVER gets his ass kicked in his movies.. he rarely if ever even gets hit.

He is a pussy.. I fucking hate him and his dumb movies..

oh ya.. I like how in EVERY movie he is a rogue cop who is ex-cia.
 
I like him as a actor, and i would agree in real life he prolly would be quit dangerous, sure a ton of guys can whoop him, but by no means do i think he is a pussy.....he is quite a tough mofo!

Do you have a problem who I like as an actor, ya i like him as a actor and i like his movies. So I could care less if you don't agree with me! Don't be critizing someone because they like them as a actor. :rolleyes:

I agree.....lennox lewis, tyson etc would kill him. As for the average 6'2" bodybuilder I am not so sure. Ya of course some would whoop him but not all. They may be able to lift heavyass weights in the gym but fight like a girl in a streetfight! lol

i have no problem with who you like as an actor. i wasnt sure if it was sarcasm or not since everyone else finds him as a bad actor.
