vitamin e oil over time

I've tried Mederma. I used it exactly as it said on the bottle for a long ass time and it did nothing. It was also really expensive.

I've done research on this and I also read that the Vitamin E thing was a myth.

The only thing that helps scars is time or microdermabrasion.

I had really bad bacne a couple years back, and still get a few on cycle.Nothing like the cystic acne I was dealing with. I was ashamed to take my shirt off for some time. They are finally fading enough that with a good tan you can hardly notice unless you get real close.

I have also heard that getting peels, like a face peel for your back works.

Laser or microdermabrasion should do it.

That's just a guess tho.

I got my tattoo lasered and you'd never know it was there.

Mederma worked for me and a few others for dark spots, blemishes not scarred or deformed skin. I used it everyday several times a day for months. It made any blemishes I had disappear.

That's good. I used it for actually scars. Maybe that's why it didn't work for me.

Blemishes fade with time, Mederma probably just spead up the process. I'm glad it worked for you.

The only thing that gets rid of scars is microdermabrasion or some type of peel. Just my opinion.

We saw a lot of guys with acne scars at the Arnold.

Has anyone actually tried peels or microdermabrasion? If so, how much did it cost, results? I also have a lot of scars.

The only way to make pitted scars go away is by reducing the layers of skin.
That means microdermabrasion or some type of peel.
You can get glycolic acid and do these peels yourself over time or get doctor peels over time or get deep laser/chemical peels that leave you looking like a burn victim for a week.

In a nut shell unless you burn off layers of your skin down to the scar layer they will not go away. perid.
They will gradually lessen with time.

How painful are the doctor peels? Have you had them? Could you train?

dermabrasion also exfoliating daily can make them lighter over time

It sucked.
The doc could turn up the lazer to burn deeper depending on how much pain you could take.
In order to get the most for my $$ I would tell him "I'm ok, turn it up".
To the point that he would not turn it up any more and I would lay there with tears rolling down my face and when he asked if I was ok or wanted to stop I would just try to sound convincing and say nope its ok keep going.

Definately couldnt train for a few days after and had to keep a light coat of KY on your face for several days.

I did 4 sessions, once monthly and it made my skin look MUCH better in the SHORT term. We didnt get the skin burned down far enough to the bottom of the acne pits so 6 months later when the layers grew back I looked the same again.
Chemical peel is the same just with acids instead of lasers.

I'm goin next week for some kind of light that gets rid of redness and discolorations left by acne. Doc told me it was 200 bills a session and I would have to go every other week for a total of 5 times...hope it works. will let you know.

respect-
