Acne? Acutane?

I never got acne during pueberty, didn't get one pimple from Winny, but 4 weeks into EQ im starting to get some zits. Im real nervous and don't want to take any chances. I use oxy pads at night, nuetrogena body wash on my shoulders, arms, back, and have nuetrogena zit cream to apply to any zits that pop up.

How good does acutane work? Is there any type of acutane type cream (Differin or something) and how well does it work?

Also, not asking for a source, but do sources sell it? I don't think i can tell a dermotologist i need some when my cycle starts to really kick in, and i don't want to wait till it gets too bad...

i have avita acne cream, it's pretty good but nothing like accutane. Your doc prob won't give you accutane right away but will try mild anti-biotics. You can get accutane from some foreign sources but its still pretty expensive. I've been on it twice for 15 weeks each time and its pretty harsh stuff. See if you can find something else that'll help you. I'm gonna try the chinese accutane see how well that works. If you do go on accutane get blood work each month!!! its very harsh on the liver.

Try Retin A first. It is pretty effective. Also I found my acne went down when I was using proscar... this is probably because DHT is the main culprit in causing acne.

The other option is to tan (don't do this if you are on Retin A or accutaine though!)

You need to read up on Accutane. Its not like doing Clearasil.

Do a serach on my name and the words "all about acne" and you will see a big post I did on it.

im assuming Retin-A is OTC? Well anyway i did do research before this post, and i guess i was just a little anxious last night...

Im going out today to get some pantholic acid pills from GNC, im gona look for Retin-A, and pick up some more face cleansing stuff...
