actually I take that back.. just checking some of my tunes and albums.. some k&d is drum n bass.. some is very acid jazz electronica..
music is hard to classify these days. when i was young i figured there was only 4 genres: rock, rap, country, and pop. now you have all sorts of abstract genres.
i mainly listen to hip hop but also jazz, indie rock, a little mainstream rap, ambient, electronica, classic rock, classical, basically anything. i have a great appreciation for music.
if you like k&d you should check out the new outkast album. totally different styles but a LOT of abstract stuff on it. (electronica, jazz, etc.) if you like coltrane, miles davis, you'll probably like andre's disc. i made a thread about it yesterday w/ some links to a couple of the songs, check it out.

Do you US guys listen to much UK music? We have invented genres too! Drum n Bass, Jungle, Garage, Hard House, Hardcore rave.... we invented these!!!
Drum n Bass and Hard house/techno/trance are my faves.. but I also listen to some rock like static-X, hed-pe, sevendust, rob zombie etc

No... rather than claim to be fountain of all music knowledge.. except the fact that much of k & d's work is DRUM N BASS!

K and D are known to be pioneers of Acid Jazz, their somewhat D and B songs are not true D and B, with song titles like "gotta jazz, trans fatty acid, jazz master and this is acid jazz" I think even the novice listener to K and D would come up with the FACT they they cater more to acid jazz, except you. The one and only song that has a true D and B tone to it is "speechless" and even this track leaves true D and B heads short.
