Accountant or TurboTax?

What does everyone think? Homeowners especially. If your taxes are fairly straightforward, is it easier to do it yourself on TT, or do you always have an accountant do it?

Do it yourself with Turbo Tax or Taxcut. They have a Q & A systems.

As long as they are straight-forward, then I would use TT online. You will get your tax return back quicker and the cost of the service is less than you would pay somebody. I've done mine online the last 2 years with good success and I am a homeowner. My taxes are a little trickier this year, so I will have a CPA do it.

But TurboTax (et al) has to be purchased and downloaded before you can use the online service correct?
