It's nice to know that my government "Of the People, by the People, and for the People" perceives me, a vocal proponent for small government, for protecting the rights of the individual, as a potential terrorist threat...

It's scary to know that this is what the Federal government has become. But don't take my word for it, read the PDF linked in this article. It's the actual report from the Dept. of Homeland Security. Starting on page 8, it describes individuals that are supporters of liberty, supporters of curtailing big government, as potential terrorists.

Detailed information on each category of ideological motivation can be found in the Profiles of Perpetrators
of Terrorism-United States report compiled by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and
Responses to Terrorism (Miller, Smarick, and Simone, 2011). Briefly, the report describes each category
as follows:
Extreme Right-Wing: groups that believe that one’s personal and/or national “way of life” is under
attack and is either already lost or that the threat is imminent (for some the threat is from a specific
ethnic, racial, or religious group), and believe in the need to be prepared for an attack either by
participating in paramilitary preparations and training or survivalism.

I've never considered my self "extreme right wing" but I do consider my personal liberties and/or freedoms under attack by the Federal gov't. So by that definition, the Dept. of Homeland Security, I am extreme right wing...and a possible "threat"
