I'm trying to get this straight but I'm all mixed up!

Can someone outline the effects of various AAS on corticosteroids in the body? Thanks in advance.

Well I don't have specifics, but I know these classes of drugs work against each other.

Corticosteroids are designed to reduce inflammation in tissues. Basically they are catabolic. Cortisol secreted by your body is catabolic.

AAS is anabolic (duh) so it causes tissue growth in the body.

I would think that if you are taking a corticoid for any reason you may need to increase AAS dosage slightly to deal with the catabolic effects (of the corticoids). Corticoids indirectly cause muscle catabolism-this isn't their primary use. They are for inflammation and pain reduction. Since AAS is designed for muscle growth I think you can easily counteract the effects of the coritcoids with increased doses. However I don't have specifics, this is just a general theory based on my knowledge of the actions of these drugs on the body.

Thanks fhg43.

Bumping for more info. I'm specificaly interested in learning how AAS use effects your corticosteroid levels and production.
