Could you? Would you? Take a vacation all alone even if it's just for the weekend?

I would if i was going thru some troubles and neded to be alone, but it does not sound like a good vacation.

Depends on where...but if it were like a city in another country...like somewhere in france or italy....absolutely. Meeting people and making quick friends is easy as pie for me after moving as much as I have throughout my life.

Thanks guys. I would miss my kids too. But meeting people is really easy for me too and I certainly wouldn't get lonely.

I really want to do this but don't want to hurt my DH's feelings. Also, he works 7 days a week so I might have to drop off the kids at my mom and dad's.

It could be fun though.

do it often....add a few extra days beyond my business trips. Spent two cool days in Burmuda cruising the beaches.

I like time with myself. We all need it sometimes.

If it happens frequently though, and you have a spouse and children, then something else is up.

every now and then i'll add a weekend onto a business trip to mellow out (on the company's dollar of course)

went to vegas, took 3 extra days.

went to LA, took 2 extra days.

it would probably be more relaxing to book a non-work trip to some backwoods place and just relax for a weekend

Now that I'm single I definitley wanna travel. My friend once told me he was gong skiing for the weekend by himself and I thought it was so weird. Doesn't seem so weird to me now, seems more like a possibly fun adventure.
