Do you think that our so called tough attitude towards morals (such as zero tolerance laws) has actually corrupted out morals.

I mean, i found myself actually wondering if a guy was responible for getting an STD even though his partner lied to him. If you think about it, saying he is responsible is saying he should never trust anyone and to never trust anyone would mean you could never have a friend or someone you love. Yeah, it does take 2 to have sex, buit she lied about it.

Before you do say it takes 2 to have sex, seriously think about it, put yourself in his shoes.

I think a lot of our morals have been corrupted by today's society. For example, say a kid who has never been in trouble with the law, performs community service, is a boy scout, reads to the underpriveledged kids, is a member of the Volunteer Search and Rescue team, volunteer firefighter and all around great damn kid. Say he has a pocket knife (like a swiss army one) in his back pack that got left there when he went out on a Search and Rescue mission to go save a toddle that got lost in the woods. Now, if anyone was to see that, the kid would most likely get expelled due to 'zero tolerance' laws. the inability to tolerate breeds ignorance. A GREAT example is of blacks. They were discrimanted against and were not tolerated, however, the rest of america eventually realized their ignorance and changed (unfortunately whites are more discrimnated against now).

I think there is a great lack of respect for our fellow human beings. Most people see other people as inferior or an obstacle to overcome. not as an equal worthy of living their own life their own way.

People in North America are too self-centered, generally speaking.

I am around children quite often and am shocked to hear and see what the kids are saying and doing. All I see is a bunch of little assholes who are going to grow up to be bigger assholes. eg. My g/f was being harrassed by some morons today while she was trying to work, and she is in a wheelchair. Little turds have no respect. Good thing I wasn't around.

I totally agree, some of those fuckers in my generation i wish i could kill and not go to jail for it. cause if i could then it would definately happen. sorry to here what happened to your g/f. that really sucks. if you do see those little piss ants, give em a good ass whippin for me

I think there is a lack of morals and a sense of responsability. We have become a feel good society that is concerned only with what we as an individual wants. We let murderers, rapist and child molesters out of jail after serving a few years because we have "reformed them". I thought prison was where you put people to punish them for a crime and keep them away from society. The man who murders or rapes someone made a decision to follow through with an action. Now let him live with it. In prision. I don't think we really have a zero tolerance society. That term is being used in our schools to disguise the fact that our teachers and adminastraters are either unable to use common sense or are afraid of a law suit if they try to decide things on a case by case basis. I agree that whites are discriminated against because of their color but we have a long way to go before we can say it is more than blacks.

I whole heartedly agree with you N-W on your points. I think you threw the last comment in there (about whites being discriminated against more) for a knee-jerk reaction from the liberals. HAHA!

I guess that statement is true in the sense that whites are passed over for certain jobs because "quotas" must be met in the name of affirmative action.

A lot of things are wrong in today's society concerning morals or the lack thereof. Having integrity seems to have taken a backseat, also. A man's word is no longer his bond unless it is written on paper, approved by an attorney, notarized by a notary, and is on file with the proper parties agreeing to all of the terms specified.

I sing the same old song when posts such as this one come up on the board.....Our society has been and still is being slowly conditioned to accept the things (we would have never consider doing or accepting) to be normal behaviour.

I see this a lot on Comedy Central, believe it or not. Last night, a buddy of mine and myself came up with a theory. White comedians are not allowed to make fun of other races. They poke fun at gays sometimes though. Black comedians make fun of white people to no end. It's getting to the point of "Dude, I've heard this from 50,000 other black comedians, shut up ..." And finally ... Latino comedians go all out on everyone; whites, blacks, gays, alien life forms, you name it.
