A Couple of Protein Questions

1. Is it really necessary to time the different types of protein you ingest? (ie. whey for post workout, ***** protein before you go to bed, ***** protein when you wake up, etc) Isn't there just one type of protein that can be used all the time throughout the day? If so, what is it? If not, can somebody give me a basic breakdown of the best time to ingest each type of protein?

2. I've always ordered 10 - 15lbs of Whey at a time from Protein Factory, but I've heard lately they have had quality control problems. What do you feel is the best/cheapest site to order the bulk protein powder(s) discussed in question #1?

1. Yes, especially pre-bedtime. You want the protein to get used for the longest possible time while your sleeping.

2. I've also been turned off to protein factory because of some bad tests that popped up. I've been using Optimum Nutrition 100% for a looong time now. I get a 10 lb bag for $50 at a local discount place. You shouldn't pay any more than that for it.

Do you think just plain Whey would be good for post workout, bedtime and morning? I thought Whey leaves the system too fast to be good for bedtime. What would you suggest for each time of the day?

After doing quite a bit or research......

Considering I got so many responses to my questions lol..........I read all the protein profiles I could get my hands on and I decided to purchase all of my protein from www.ProteinCustomizer.com. They had the best prices I could find by far.

Protein w/flavoring Purpose Price Qty
CFM Whey Isolate - Morning/Post workout $7.99/lb 5lb
Calcium Casienate - Bedtime or if there will be a $5.85/lb 5lb
long time between meals. (Digests slowly.)
