People typically see fot loss, healing, and the anti-aging benefits of GH pretty quickly. It is the muscle growth and strength they take awhile to come, and you have to be running enough iu per day to see this type of results. If you are using generic HGH, then I would not expect a whole lot of muscle and strength gains from 4-5iu's, especially with any AAS in the mix.
As far as your joints, I would lower your GH dose a little bit, and run it lower until the joint pain subsides. Then start start gradually increasing your dosage until you reach your desired amount. The joint pain get worse if you keep running your current dose.
The joint pain could also be from the T4. It is hard to dial in the right dose of T4 to maintain normal thyroid function. I am 260 pounds and will be using 150mcg/day.
