My wife gave birth to our 1st child 18 months ago and is now trying to lose the weight, she been on a low carb diet and power walks occasionally. E/C/A makes her too jittery. She now wants to use t3. I did a search but most people are scared by the 'worst case scenario' of t3. t3 can be dangerous no doubt, but only in high doseages, there's a guy on BBs that has been doing no more than 50mcg of t3 for 8 MONTHS straight and suffered NO ill effects when he stopped cold turkey. I know how to use it for Men but have no experience with t3 for women. She has already had her thyroid tested which is normal and she doesn't care if the weight loss is body fat or muscle just as long as she losses the weight. I was thinking of cycling her up to 50mcg a day for 6 weeks then a 4 week break and then starting over. My question is for those women who have actually used t3 as to when is the best time to take t3 in the day, what sides effects should she look out for and how much weight is a realistic goal over say 3-4 6 week cycles and would adding some clenbuterol increase the fat loss, again how much and what times of the day would be best for clenbuterol for a woman.

t3 is meant to be taken 1st thing in am. You start at 25mcg for a week and double it each week for 1 week-then after 8 weeks, you cut down by 1 pill a week until you stop-if you don't taper, it can be dangerous. Clen should be taken early in the day to avoid sleep problems
 
By saying she follows a low-carb diet & power walks occassionally and then have her look to T3 and clen as the preferred weight loss method --- doesn't sound like a real commitment or understanding of "the lifestyle" and just "losing weight" implies to me a lack of understanding of the truly relavent measures of "health goals". In the extreme, anorexics have goals of "losing weight", but seem to miss the point and value of measuring bodyfat. If she is willing to sacrifice loss of both fat and muscle as T3 does, without preference, she could easily be sacrificing valuable muscle. If she doesn't already do some sort of lifting now (or pre-kid) she may be sacrificing the muscle she does happen to have.

T3 & clen may produce some quick fixes to weight loss, but if there isn't already a good base lifestyle of diet / cardio / training, those "fixes" may be lost quickly when she goes off it. And dont' forget that clen can cause agitation, headaches, etc.

These are just my comments -- there are so many wonderful accomplishments to be made by making adjustments to her training - occasional power walks does not constitute a strong muscle building or fat loss program. And along with a low-carb diet, is she getting sufficient good quality protein & fats?

I'm trying to highlight the idea that T3 & clen will help product fat loss, but they are used in conjunction with AS cycles or as part of a cutting cycle, when her goals are to "lose weight". Quick fixes are just that - quick fixes - that won't remain if the supporting lifestyle is not in place.

(Sorry -- I know I sound like a downer - but especially for a new mother, I think there is so much more to be gained by changing diet & training habits instead of introducing prescription medication into the mix.)

:shocked: If she loses muscle, she'll be killing her metabolism and FOREVER battling weight gain. This is what supports the multi-billion $$$ diet industry and why dieters usually end up getting fatter and fatter. This is a miserable way to live. You must do all you can to make her see the light. I've already been down that road, and it sucks. For women, muscle is the world's best kept secret. With muscle you CAN eat more and have a tighter better shaped body than the woman standing next to you pound for pound, but STILL wear a smaller size! (because a pound of muscle is a lot denser than a pound of fat)
