can anyone solve this, and show me how they did it?

even with my calc to give me the answer i still cant simplify it quite teh whole way!

thanks for your help!

3e^x=pi^1-x

3e^x=pi^1-x
+x

3e^2x=pi^1

3e (4.24) = pi(sqrt)^34

Divide everything by .232, then find the cube root of each side.

Answer should be e^pp

thanks for the help, it might be hard to read the format:

this is as far as i can take this equation

3e^x=pi^1-x
_____ ______
3 3

ln e^x= ln pi^1-x
______
3

x=ln pi^1-x
______
3

x= 1-x ln pi
____ ____
1-x 3
_____________

1-x

x = ln pi
____ __
1-x 3

thats as far as i can get, karma to those who can help!!!

well the answer is....

ln(pi/3) / (ln(pi) + 1)

but i have no idea how to get it.

cool..i figured it out:

3e^x = pi^(1-x)
= pi^1 * pi^-x
3e^x = pi /( pi^x)
e^x * pi^x = pi / 3
e^((ln(pi) +1)*x) = pi / 3
ln(pi/3) = (ln(pi)+1)*x
x = ln(pi/3) / (ln(pi)+1)
