39 Years Old Is it a good idea to start a cycle?

Ottoman

Hi everybody,

i'm 39 yo. 184 pounds. 5.8" with 27% BF:(
I have been training for about a year and my body is used to have serious workouts n(for my age of course). I gained some muscle size but it is not satisfactory. I'm thinking of adding more muscle and reduce my body fat to 10 %. What would be you advices? Should I start a cycle. What should it look like. What should I use and for how log.
Thanks to all in advance.

Sure it is. Hell you could start a cycle at 65 if ya wanted I think!

But lets see what the pro's here have to say.

*Bump*

get a nutritionalist and/or trainer to help you get your goal(s) and meals prioritized. Im in my early 30's and was asking the exact same questions.

your answer is absolutely 100% NOT AAS. as great as they are for gaining mass. and as good as more muscle is at burning fat. AAS will not take you to your goal. Diet will.

I thought for years that I knew what I was doing with diet. Nope... lots of protein and sometimes lowering my fat intake wasnt 'knowing what i was doing' at all.

set up a meal plan for the entire week. follow it religiously. Ive been following mine since Jan 8th of this year. I have lost 15-20 lbs (most of which was in the first month) and Im seeing results daily. even tho my weight hasnt chaged much, I know Im losing fat still. fat is a useful source of energy in the morning for working out. doing 20-40 mins of cardio immediately after weight training.

if you want more details, feel free to PM me. I have been studying diet(s) for well over a year now.

again... dont be so quick to jump on the AAS bandwagon. Ive been down that road. it will lead to quick muscle gains, but unfortunately, unless your diet is perfect, you wont be losing much fat along with the muscle growth. when the cycle is done and you slack off even a little... BOOM! muscle goes bye bye and you are left with a higher bf%.

get the fat down under 15%. better yet, get to 10% and hold it there for several months. THEN, and only then, should you even consider AAS.

you could never touch a weight or run a mile in your life and get to 10% bf. the weights and cardio only help get us there and keep our bodies healthy.

Its all in the diet sir. 100%.

that being said... No... you are never too old for AAS. there is just too young. ~ah those were the days~ :) good luck

Hell no bro you're not too old.

Certainly as long as you know what you are doing, educate yourself fully, and lose the bf% before starting a cycle. I am same age and it takes years off my life, I feel much younger, but I did learn, you wont lose the fat with gear, lose it first, then you will be much happier actually "seeing" your gains appear.

I'm 46.. didn't cycle until i was 38...

the big deal is with that much bf, it is assumed you will not or do not have the knowledge to get to the results you need to be at..

at that age, testosterone is starting to fade, and that is what you are really trying to get back..

I would suggest that if you took a year, ran 250mg test e, and 3iu of gh (gh for 6 months) and learn to eat correctly, in 2 years you would hit the 10%bf that you are seeking..

Now, with that said, the older we are, the more the sides can mess us up.. do you have issues with your prostrate?? ED, or vision?? alot of the stuff BB use will make these conditions worse..

I safe and effective manner in which for you to consider, can you get the results you want without aas... answer to that is yes...

but you have to decide if doing a cycle without a doc is worth the felony charges that will be brought against you in the even you are caught with it in your possession..

yeah you could cycle, but try dropping your bf naturally first. ie diet, cardio

I agree. Lose some weight first.

Forget the following even exist:

pizza
cake
cookies
ice cream
pasta
french fries
bread
non-diet soda

Cut those out for starters and I guarantee you'll start losing weight.
