2008 redesigned Jeep Liberty

You've got to be kidding. It's just a Dodge Nitro with a Jeep grille.

Soon you'll be able to get Jeeps with Mercedes turbo-diesel engines ... arguably the most reliable power plant ever built.

Are they still going ahead with that, now that Daimler Benz have offloaded Chrysler?

fuckin ugly

too boxy..........16mpg? that's shit. My car gets like 14 but I also bought it 7 years ago (and it's a 4.6 liter)

any new purchases will be w/ gas mileage highly considered

My present car (teh Yaris will easy rear entry) gets about as good mpg as possible, but I don't drive enough to see much dividends. At the 6 month mark I had 2,440 miles.

I thought about buying a yaris next but then after reading some reviews I learned that's it probably not a good idea for a 6'3 dude to drive one. I'm thinking corolla or civic now.

So you just use it to city drive, that makes sense. How are you not seeing dividends from it? Imagine a car that gets 16 mpg - that shit doesn't really happen in the city, that jeep would be getting around 12-14 from being idle at lights and whatnot. My car does great on the highway (27 mpg or so) but in the city stopping every 50 feet it kills. $50 to fill up the tank is depressing.
