2 1/2 year old Picasso...

I have a two and a half year old picasso... or maybe chagall... anyway, the crux of the biscuit is that his canvas' are the walls of our home.

That gets a bit tedious.

Keep in mind that other than his sensational pastoral work on my freshly painted livingroom, diningroom and every others room's walls, he is a very well behaved young fellow.

Parents: have you had young artistic terrors like this? how did you make the change in medium from plasterboard to a less 'stressful' canvas?

If its crayon get those Mr. Clean magic erasers. They'll even take out ink if you work it long enough. If you don't want to repaint.

Then get butcher paper and tape that to the walls and over a period of a couple of weeks move the paper to the floor and work him towards art pads. We only let our kids use crayons while sitting at their table. If they get up they have to give up the grayons.

Hey I have one of them also..The Lord is right and goo gone works great at removing stuff. If it is pen you can try mixing rubbing alcohol and water together and using that. Hairspray will also work....I have gone thorugh this 3 times and it will pass lolol

Thanks both! Christopher is our youngest of three, and the other guys went through minor episodes like this, but Christopher is REALLY creative in his choice of mediums. We hid all the crayons, he went to using my Wacom stylus/pencil. We hid that, he went to stacking toy boxes to reach his brothers marker set. We hid that, he discovered that almost anything in the fridge, if rubbed hard enough on the wall, will produce the desired effect.

We have big easel that has a chalk board on one side, and a roll paper with markers on the other, but it seems he is tired of the cramped creative process LOL and needs a larger audience (read: more attention).

Will try the butcher paper theory, I have a lot of that!

Funny....my youngest of three has been the worst and the most creative at this kind of stuff....
