19 years old w/ gear?

Hi,

Im 19 and seriously considering doingONE 8 week cycle of EQ and var followed by some clomid. I hear people saying wait until your older but I dont really understand why. Not that I'm trying to be difficult or be a punk, I just genuinely dont understand whats wrong with them at 19 thats not wrong at 25 as long as your done growing. My doc has x-rayed me and told me that im done growing, my epiphyseal (sp?) plates have closed off. Not getting any taller. So if anybody could give me an explanationg of why I should wait I'd really appreciate it. Are my natural test levels going to be forever reduced? After the cycle will I never lift as well as I would of if I had never done the cycle? They way I see it is that these 8 weeks will give me a big jump and then I'll continue lifting after just as I have been in the past without any consequences. Will I need gear the rest of my lifting career if I do this cycle to still make good gains? I'm obviously confused about why its soo bad for a 19 yr old as opposed to a 22 year old. Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance for any help.

lol, he counters everyones' pessimistic arguments and in turn he gets honest answers!

You only live once. If the positives outweigh the negatives, by all means - do it up. Just be smart, stay safe.

see what does that mean, "you still have a lot of genetic potential" do you mean I am wasting something? Or that I will lose my potential after the cycle? BTW, I like the encouraging response :D

If you have been training hard for several years and truely feel like you have reached your genetic potential - then go for it. If you are still making good gains naturally and your diet and exercise is already in line then wait.

Go for it dude.If your done growing I do not see why not, and just by taking the anishative to go see a doctor about that before hand,I'd say your mature enough to get down.

I did my first cycle at 17.
Now I know it was too early but didnt really cause any problems.
Go for it.:)

I think the idea behind going into AS is that to get the best out of it, you would want to already have an awesome diet & training regimin in place instead of just shooting to get big quick. There's a lot of discussion on the women's board about reaching your "genetic potential" - though I think if you get into that discussion, probably 98% of the people on this board shouldn't even consider AS. For a guy at age 19, your body is producing the most testosterone its ever going to produce - so why throw in more AS? Something about taking advantage of what your body is giving you to work with instead of souping it up artificially and then having to throw in all the other stuff to manipulate the hormones resulting from the AS.

Another aspect is responsibility in use of AS. How many 19 year olds will give up pounding beers on Friday night w/ the guys to save their liver the additional stress? Or religiously go to the gym & lift like a mofo and keep a clean diet to avoid getting just "big" and not cut from the AS. Then he has to run a harsh cutting cycle to get rid of the bloat & additional fat.

Its really ultimately up to you what you decide to do. For some people, a good enough reason to run a cycle at age 19 is because they know someone who can get whatever for them real cheap & said "it'll get you ripped". For others, they have done the research and decided its time to do it. Others are just sick of being the little guy. Or maybe they have actually been training & dieting seriously for 5 years already and want to go that extra step. But it does sort of seem like an insult to your body to start tossing in more stuff when its in its glory already. Gives you a chance to focus on natural diet & training to give yourself a good base to build on later if you so choose to add in the AS and are disciplined enough to be responsible in your use.

Whatever you decide to do, educate yourself well and be true to your body -- diet clean & consistently, train hard, get the right supps to protect your system and manage the sides (e.g. depression, etc.) so you aren't throwing in more toxic stuff to counter the stuff you already submitting your body to.

Good luck!
