14,000 isn't really THAT big of a milestone, but I'm gonna have to give this one to the Bomb Squad.
What started as just a stupid little joke, has turned into a stupid BIG joke. It was just me and deteras1 at first, tag teamin fools with bombs, and then slowly but surely more people started asking how they can get in on the action.
At one point we were approaching 25 members, now down to 19 we are as strong as ever. Our presence has been felt all over EF. We've regulated this board and caused more controversy then ever seen in just a couple of short months. I never once imagined we'd be recognized as a sovereign group. We've been the subject of countless threads on the chat board, we've been brought up many times in the mod board. We've left the mods scrambling to implement some Mod Bomb to try to reign us in. But no, we can't be stopped. We are the people's voice!
I'd like to take a moment to recognize some of the people that have been targeted over the past few weeks. First to be hit was hamstershaver and lumberg. Both good homies. Lumberg had a questionable avatar, and hamster, well, he was due. Shortly after that was crak600, another good bro who really flew off the handle after being bombed. Other targets in no specific order were... biteme, spongebob, chewyxrage, allon, jerseyart, be bop, string_bean00, Mr. db, vigilante, crazyrussian, and I am sure there were a few more I have left out.
We aren't without our flaws, some of the bombings shouldn't have happened. I've apologized, I've purchased a few people platinum memberships. We are a group that grew quickly and it became tough to maintain order. Some of our members are volatile, they will bomb on a whim, its a tough group to coordinate and manage at times, but in just a few short weeks we've solidified ourselves as one of the most infamous in EF history. We may not be around forever, but our legacy will always remain.
A Shout out to those who took this thing so seriously as well. Most people just ignored it. Said it was lame, but left it at that. Brothabill, goldendelicious, two names that come to mind. Non plats that have never been targeted, not because they support the Bomb Squad, but because they really just didn't give a shit. The people who complained the louded about this are the ones that really took things the most seriously.
Props to Spongebob for initially organizing the resistance. Most people don't realize he was having fun with this thing as well. He has been around a long time and said he hadn't had this much fun in years. Karma gangs now had new purpose. People actually had new purpose in EF (for some it was new purpose in life).
Honorable mention to Jerseyart. I don't know why we are always at such odds. Its become apparent we'll never be best friends, but I really don't have an axe to grind with the guy. He has his place here in EF just as you all reading this do. In the words of Rodney King "Can't we all just get along?" Moving forward I will no longer be commenting on his personal life, or his posts in general. I feel this would do the most good in terms of co-habitating together here on this board in a peaceful manner.
I won't mention MODS by name, but some of you actually called in Bomb Squad hits, which we always welcome, and other seems to have become more ruffled by it then the bombees themselves. I suspect this is because the Bomb Squad weilds a power that mods are jealous of. They would like to maintain all the power as far as locking, editing, and banning goes. Again, just like with JerseyArt, I'd like to find a happy place that we can all reside in. We are all on the same team here. We all come here for knowledge and enjoyment. Its not all serious, and its not all fun and games, but there should be healthy amounts of both.
I could keep typing forever, however I know most of you probably have not made it this far, so this dedication will come to a close. I'll try to have something more clever, more witty, and less geigh for my 15,000th posts dedication.
