Those sprinter guys you see at the Olympics always look pretty big and cut... Anyone know what size chest and arms they have?
Not mentioning anyone specifically as i dont know anyone.
Any ideas?

TAILS

as u may know tails. i think that the american sprinter jon drummond has the best body out all the sprinters. no fat at all. makes me wish i was big and black sometimes. (only kidding).
go to a post by me about ben johnson. there are some interesting facts about his strength. his squats are huge.

I ran college track with alot of top sprinters. There arms were only between 15" and at very tops 17". But they are so damn ripped that on TV it makes them look huge.

nautica

these guys are in the absolute best shape, after all, they are world class athletes... but, they are about 5'7" 165lbs, tv makes them look a lot bigger, doesn't it?

As was mentioned, these guys really aren't big. They are just so very lean that they apear larger than they really are. The goal of a sprinter isn't muscle mass which ultimately equates to a higher body weight. The lighter the load the easier it is to propel it. One thing to keep in mind about sprinters is that they train anaerobically...Both through thier sprint training and weight traing, so this has quite an impact on thier muscularity. Sprinters, contrary to popular beleife, aren't endurance atheletes hence they actualy have muscle because they need it.

as opposed to BB who have it because they want to look pretty.

This is correct. We bodybuilders just sport our muscles for oohs and ahs. Put us 250+ pounders in the 100 and I'll meet you at the finish line in an hour:)
