Bravo, I had been drinking about 1.5 to 2 gallons of water per day, up until the Weds before the contest. Also I was adding salt to everything up until that Weds, too. On the Weds of the contest, stop adding sodium (I tried to limit foods high in sodium at this point too), and cut to 1.5 gallons. Then Thurs, 1 gallon and Friday, 1/2 gallon. I use a carb load/depletion routine that works great for me too. One the Monday of the contest, I stop taking in carbs (harder that it sounds). You will deplete Mon, Tues and Wed. On each of these days, do a glycogen depletion workout that consists of three sets of an excersize for each body part except legs. (I don't do legs within the last 10 days before the show). After my workout on Weds, I start taking carbs back in. Start high Gl, sugary carbs, then taper of to lower Gl. I'm 5'6" and 170 lbs give or take and I shoot for about 400gms for the next 3 days.
