What about saying you don't have insurance and just going as a self pay. I do understand the associated costs but a few hundred bucks for a consultation visit and some ancillary drugs beats having to go to a gyno surgeon right? Have any of you guys made excuses to go to the doc and gotten help...

Isn't this the same problem as any other substance abuse? If I have a problem with pain meds or heroin and you go for help you don't get dropped from your insurance and fired from your job?

Accutane is nasty/strong stuff. Try other antibiotics before this. I was prescibed this, as a last defense, by a dermatologist when I was a teenager. I had a very bad experience with accutane were I became so depressed/crazy that I almost committed suicide.
