you don't really have to worry unless it's major surgery where there is a chance of severe bleeding. steroids tend to thin the blood out a bit in some people which can lead to problems if there was a mishap during surgery. but with oral surgery you shouldn't have to worry.

sureshot, i take .5mg of xanax 30 min. before i take ambien- it works great. try this, with such a low does of xanax maybe you won't have to worry about addiction.
