Aspirin might be of some help. I was put on coumadin (a prescription blood thinner) and I still clotted a second time. Since I have been off Deca my hematocrit has remained in the safe limits and I have had no more clots.

As far as I understand there are a number of factors which can induce clotting. One is the time it takes the blood to clot (if it clots too fast it can induce clotting). This is know as Prothrombin Time (or something like that). A second is the "stickiness" of the red blood cells themselves...
