you do not need to guess if the are some impurities and contaminations it will melt at different temperature.
this is why it is important to check first with labmax if there is hormone, then you do melting point.

You do not need to waste on mass spec with powders, if you do labmax + melting point and both are pass you have good quality powder. labmax would confirm that it is right hormone and if it melts at the right temperature it means that it contains no contaminations.
as it was said many times on this forum, there is no way to guess what you have
the cheapest and easiest way is to pre screen it for presence of hormone
use google to find "labmax test kit" it is cheap and reliable and you will have answer right away legit/bunk
