Pits are indeed the most loyal dog. And their undurance is incredible, they don't know their limits, if they enjoy a game and you ask them to play, they would literally do it until they die, hence some idiotic facks thinking it would be great to use that trait to fight the poor loving dogs...

You also have to givethe baby time to grow. Much like us, they get better muscle as they get older... They will not reach full muscle maturity until about 4 years of age. My male is now 4 and has put on a good bit of weight in the past year. He has reached his full maturity and looks awesome...

The Koi represents perseverance in the face of adversity and strength of character or purpose.

Let's not forget he purchased and owned the property where the dogs were kept, trained and executed...let's consider him a doggie slum lord...maybe that'll put it in perspective for some...
