I can't inject GH subq because I get welps, so I have been reading to try IM, what is a good size needle to use? I have 1/2 inch insulin needles left, but is that too shallow?

What is the best size needle to inject GH intramuscular? Would a 1/2 inch insulin needle work? That's what I have but I can't do subq because I get welts.
